Linda Joan Smith

Linda Joan Smith loves time traveling via books, and writes stories about the past for today’s young readers so that they can do the same. She is the author of THE PEACH THIEF, a middle-grade historical novel coming from Candlewick Press in March of 2025. Before beginning to write for children, Linda worked as editor of Country Home magazine and as a freelance writer specializing in antiques, collectibles, textiles, domestic history, and gardens. She is the author of three non-fiction garden books and a lover of libraries and children's literature.
