Suresh K Basandra is a software engineering executive with over 40 years’ research, development, management, and teaching experience in hardware, software, and information systems, 25 years in software development management, people management, and program management experience in early-stage start-ups to large global organizations.
He graduated in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering (Delhi Technological University), Delhi, India. He obtained his M. Tech. in Computer Technology from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India and master's in computer science courses from University of California, Berkeley, California, USA.
He has over fifty research papers and articles in the area of hardware, software, and information systems to his credit. These have appeared in various reputed journals and magazines like Information Processing Letters (Netherlands), CSI Communications, Dataquest, Information Technology (IT), Instruments and Electronics Developments, Indian Ports, and Electronics For You (EFY). He was contributing editor to Information Technology magazine from June 1991 to August 1994.
He has several books to his credit which are available globally in print as well as eBook: ‘Computers Today’, 'Computer Science Question Bank', ‘Computer Systems Today’, 'Advanced Computer Science Question Bank', 'Understanding Computers Through Common Sense', 'Local Area Networks', ' Object Oriented Software Engineering', ‘Management Information Systems’, ‘Computers For Managers’, ‘Everyday Management Solutions’, ‘Everyday Project Management Solutions’, ‘Everyday Software Development Solutions’.
Few of his books have been used as textbook and reference by various accredited colleges and universities in their degree courses in 28 countries.
His books, research papers and articles have been referred in various international research publications.
He has been guest faculty to State Bank of India (SBI) Staff Training College, Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM), and Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). He guided B.Tech. students at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India, and M.B.A. students of IGNOU for their projects. He was involved in the development of Computer Science Courses conducted by IGNOU and All India Management Association (AIMA).
