Jilly Gavin is a children’s author, parenting coach, and nonprofit leader who has spent her career supporting children and families around the world. She began writing picture book poetry as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mozambique where she taught high school English and continued her work abroad supporting community development projects in West Africa and Southeast Asia. Jilly later returned home to support refugee and immigrant families integrating into life in Western New York.
Jilly is the author of Angel Wings, What My Mama Likes, Bobalooey! and Other Silly Poems for Little Readers, and Please and Thank You, A Morning Prayer and the founder of publishing imprint PBJellyKids. Her books are rooted in one simple hope for the world: more compassion, more connection, and more unconditional love.
She lives in Buffalo, New York, with her daughter, Maya Moon.
