Hello and welcome!

One of my favorite parts of teaching was reading with my students. I loved watching stories spark curiosity, empathy, laughter, and wonder.

For years, I dreamed of writing children's books but always tucked those ideas away for "later." When I became a mama, I stepped away from the classroom and finally decided it was time to bring those stories to life. It means so much to know my books are helping families and classrooms create meaningful moments together!

One of the greatest gifts from my years in the classroom was discovering American Sign Language. My journey began when I had a Deaf student in my classroom. As I introduced signs to all of my students, I watched them become excited about learning a new way to communicate and connect with one another. That experience inspired me to partner with a Deaf consultant and create inclusive picture books that help families learn American Sign Language together.

As one of my first graders once said, *"Everyone should learn sign language because it stretches your brain, and you can make new friends."* I couldn't agree more. My hope is that every book I write helps build bridges, encourages kindness, and reminds children that there are many beautiful ways to communicate.

My **Drama Kitty** series is inspired by the true (and very dramatic) adventures of a real-life cat, bringing plenty of laughs, surprises, and, of course, lots of drama!

My **Sign With Friends** series teaches American Sign Language through playful rhymes, engaging illustrations, and topics children already love, helping families continue learning together long after the last page is turned.

Every one of my books is inspired by people (and pets) who have changed my life. If you have a dream to write, teach, create, or make a difference, I hope you find the courage to take that first step!
