Iris Miranda

Iris Miranda (1961, Puerto Rican), is an author and a Spanish Literature Professor at the Universidad Politécnica de Puerto Rico. Published writer: Noches de luna (2007); Alcoba roja (2011) which includes short stories such as Space Mummies in its original Spanish version. Other poetry book are: Óptica del desierto (2013), about Gaza; Flor de Luna Moonflower (2014), poetry for children; Velos de la memoria (2019); and Tacitas de café (2020) and in this year Terranauta: o del arte sencillo de mirar las estrellas. Her literary works have been recognized in literary competitions and published in local as well as in international magazines and literary anthologies. As cultural promotor she has been part of the Festival Internacional de Poesía en Puerto Rico Director´s Board and coordinated many cultural activities such as Certamen Literario UPPR and belong to Guajana, La boemia de Laro and Café a 3 voces poetry groups, among other cultural activities.
