Alison J Miller

I received my PhD from the University of Kansas and have taught at the University of the South (Sewanee), Bowdoin College, and the Kansas City Art Institute. My work has been funded by a Fulbright Fellowship, Foreign Language Area Studies Fellowship, Robert and Lisa Sainsbury Fellowship, Appalachian College Association Faculty Fellowship, and Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship, among others, and I have published full-length articles in the Journal of Japanese Studies, Ota Memorial Museum Bulletin, Asian Diasporic Visual Cultures and the Americas (ADVA), and Trans Asian Photography, as well as numerous exhibition and book reviews and public humanities projects.
