Jo Buchanan Hay

Jo Buchanan Hay has been writing since she was six, with poetry, articles and stories appearing in school, university and church magazines. She taught RE and English for several years, writing and producing plays and dance-dramas for ends-of-terms and church festivals. With a Christian music group in London she made records and acted on stage and radio, even appearing on TV! She co-founded a constituency pressure group, and was on the board of a sheltered housing complex for older people.

Becoming a single parent she eventually moved her family to Somerset. Here she sold educational books and software, managed a social club for older people, and was project co-ordinator of a town centre chaplaincy. Writing, always in the background, is now her main pre-occupation.

Jo has two daughters and three grandchildren, and is married to Derek, an electronics design engineer. She is delighted her debut novel, 'Constance and Me', is finally published and her 'Abbotsleigh Trilogy' is taking shape.
