Yvonne Frank Moore, MD, MA, FACOG is a native Memphian and a board- certified OB/GYN who has been in private practice since 1984. She holds BA in biology and psychology from Washington University in St.
Louis and her medical degree was earned at St. Louis University. Feeling the need to incorporate Christian counseling into her practice, in 2007 she earned a master’s degree in human relations from Liberty University. She has served on numerous boards and hospital committees over the years.
She is the widow of the late Rev. James Lee Moore, Jr. and the mother to two adult children, Kyra and Justin Sims. She is an active member of True Light Baptist Church where she part of the social media team, A Minute for Your Health, and the book club. She is also the volunteer wellness coach for Dreamgirl Healthier You, a virtual support group.of ladies from all over the country who simply want to become their healthiest selves.
Dr. Moore is an avid sports fan and an enthusiastic interval runner. She is a perennial St. Jude Hero, running to raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In 2021 she completed the challenge of finishing at least one, half marathon in each of the 50 states, DC, and Puerto Rico. She is now pursuing the goal of completing 100 half marathons having now done 86 of them at this writing.
Since retiring from delivering babies, her medical practice focuses on gynecology and helping her patients live healthier lives through positive lifestyle and behavioral changes. It truly has become a passion for her! She writes a blog for her patients about various topics on healthy living particularly as we age.
Proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to Dr. Moore’s annual fundraising efforts for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
