Bruce Levine

Bruce Levine, J.D. is Clinical Professor, and Director of the Education Policy Program, in the Drexel University School of Education. He also directs the MS degree in Educational Improvement and Transformation and previously served as the Director of Drexel's DC Center. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife, where he is active in civic affairs and currently serves as an elected Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for his community.

Prior to working at Drexel, he had extensive experience as an attorney, economic and workforce development consultant, management consultant and start-up company executive.

His areas of scholarly interest include integrated student supports and community school models; the relationship between school buildings and education/community outcomes; civic literacy and civic education; the intersection of the private sector and the education system and public private partnerships; career and technical education and workforce development; online learning; contemporary legal issues in education, especially pertaining to education technology; and the role of parents in the education system.

He earned a B.A. from Hamilton College in American Studies, a M.P.A. from the University of Pennsylvania's Fels Center of Government, and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.
