G.G. Lemke

My name is G.G Lemke. I was born in Canada and moved to Utah when I was 12 years old. I have struggled throughout my life with reading and writing. I have come a long way, but still have tons to go. I became a teacher and have taught Special Education most my career. I love teaching and feel it is the most noble of all careers.

When I get home I enjoy reading, writing, and doing pottery. I have been told I am an artist however, I doodle more than anything else. I've been married for 27 years. I have five children and two grandchildren. I love being with my family and enjoy camping with them and just hanging out.

I got into writing when I had surgery on my leg. I couldn't do anything so I picked up a computer and started writing. I found I enjoyed it a lot. I was inspired by another author who said in an interview that "in order to write you just need to write." That is what I have been doing.

My first book I didn't know how to write very well. It is still a mess, but I plan to go back and do a lot of edits on it. The Ashes series has been so fun to get out. I love Tina and the rest of her team. She is a strong girl who's life falls apart and she builds it back up. I am excited to say the second book is in the works and going well. I hope to have it ready by the end of the summer in 2025. Look for that.
