Nicolmario Ciccotti

Nicolmario Ciccotti, born in 1966, began his fiction writing journey in 2021, bringing to his work the perspective gained from decades of experience as a computer systems engineer and network security specialist. This dual nature – technical and creative – characterizes his approach to literature, especially in his dystopian and technologically-themed works where he explores the potential and risks of artificial intelligence, robotics, and cyberpunk scenarios.

In his short but intense literary career, Ciccotti has self-published four novels on Amazon: "La zona nera" (The Black Zone), "Il vecchio e il robot" (The Old Man and the Robot), "Vento dell'Est" (East Wind), and "Sotto la pelle" (Under the Skin). With "La zona nera," he reached the final stage of the "ilnarratore" literary competition, a significant recognition for an emerging author.

Influenced by masters of dystopian literature such as Philip K. Dick and George Orwell, Ciccotti develops a narrative that combines technical rigor and emotional depth, using his IT expertise to enrich the verisimilitude of the technological elements in his stories.

Despite having started writing relatively late, Ciccotti brings to his prose the maturity of someone who has long observed the world before deciding to recreate it through words, demonstrating that the art of storytelling can flourish at any age when supported by passion and determination.
