Hello everyone! I am Tim J Culbertson, author of the new book, And the Oscar Goes To. It has been a labor of love being able to accomplish a task I never dreamed in a million years I would do. I am a big fan of movies as I have a collection of several DVD and Blu-ray discs as well as books written by and about my favorite celebrities. After retiring in March 2022 from retail, I decided with the free time I wanted to WRITE A BOOK. I had the resources and enlisted Book Writing Pioneer's help, it's an experience I will never forget. I wanted to write something fictional but incorporate true facts as well, I gathered numerous sources for the facts or Oscar trivia combined with a story of a 40-year friendship between six people who work behind the scenes in Hollywood fascinated by its biggest night mixed with glitz and glamour. In between their location shoots, exotic vacations and attending the Oscars, they are caught in a web of love, sex, drugs, sexual harassment, ageism, grief, and death bringing them closer together as friends with inspirational stories to uplift and perhaps bringing out the best in each other being better people for knowing each other. I am hoping as one chapter closes in life, another door opens rooting for the underdog embarking on life's adventures bringing future experiences to delight you for years to come as well as increase your knowledge about the Oscars you never knew. Thanks in advance for reading, there is more in months ahead I am hoping leaving you inspired with a smile on your face, tears down your cheek and laughter along the way.
