Glen Hobbs is a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, a retired technology consultant, and a dedicated church leader. With a career spanning over 20 years at a Big 4 consulting firm, Glen retired as a divisional CTO and Chief Architect. During his tenure, Glen and his team received the Chairman’s Award, the highest honor in the firm. He also co-founded several startups, predominantly serving in CIO roles, before joining the consulting giant.
In the realm of church leadership, Glen currently serves in a board capacity for a church with global membership. His experience includes serving as a board member and Chair of the Board for a local church in the Bay Area and as an Elder Board member in Atlanta. In these roles he has also been instrumental in drafting bylaws and policies for churches.
Glen has contributed to several technical works, including the publication Strategic Enterprise Architecture by Springer. He is also the creator of the Espresso Series booklets—short, to-the-point publications that capture the essence of various spiritual topics, designed to be read in the time it takes to enjoy a cup of coffee or two. Inspired by his passion for coffee and a desire to avoid unnecessary fluff in books, Glen named the series after his favorite beverage. His spiritual writings primarily focus on themes of prayer and spiritual service.
Outside of his professional and church activities, Glen enjoys reading, woodworking, and outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, yard work, and gardening. He is passionate about coffee, exploring different brewing techniques, roasting, and even creating a showpiece coffee machine, combining his love for innovation and his favorite beverage. Glen also loves traveling with his beloved wife Sue and spending time with their children and grandchildren.
