Michelle McBride Graham

Michelle Graham was born “June Michelle McBride” in the coastal town of Daytona Beach, Fl in 1964. She resided in DeLand, Florida, which was once known as Persimmon Hollow. DeLand is home of Stetson University which displays Neoclassical and Mediterranean Revival architecture.

Michelle graduated from DeLand High School with honors and was a contributing writer for the school newspaper, which lead her to the local newspaper “The DeLand Sun News”. Throughout her life she has been an avid writer, wrote songs, created her personal blog, Southern Girl Speaks.

Michelle became a hair stylist and found a great way to express herself. In 2005 she suffered a terrible horseback riding accident leaving her with a fractured neck and collarbone and many other injuries which caused her life changing circumstances and had to end her career as a stylist. She and her husband, Bill, make their home in North Carolina, where they enjoy hiking, traveling, visiting friends and family. Her debut book LOTUS I am more than enough was published in 2024.
