About the author:

Lora Jackson is twenty-two and therefore has no enormous titles or accomplishments to flaunt. She currently resides in British Columbia, Canada. Some of her special interests include fonts, the Bering sea, and worrying. She doesn't like to write about herself in third person and doesn't know how to describe herself—you just have to meet her.

An Empire of Lies is her first completed long-form story. She started writing it on April 1st of 2024 (which speaks for itself), with the goal of finally finishing a book (she thought she was dying and has too many unfinished drafts). The original concept of AEOL formed when she was sixteen, then waited for four years at 6,000 words and half-written ideas.

Selfish, her second book, is a more personal and recent story that was conceptualized and abandoned in 2022, then revived and combined with new ideas in 2024. She recommends that you read this instead of AEOL.

She is currently working on her third book.
