P.L. Sundeson

Welcome to my page! I'm a New Orleans native -- grew up in the infamous French Quarter, believe it or not -- and went to the same high school (much, *much* later) as did Lee Harvey Oswald. Aside from that dubious distinction, I've worked as a delivery driver, radio announcer/producer, computer programmer, and office manager. Like intelligent species throughout the galaxy, I am owned by cats, two in my case. I'm also a major-league fan of the 1964 TV series and 2015 movie "The Man From U.N.C.L.E."

My work? Fantasy primarily, with high adventure, action, and suspense. Rarely do I deal with hackneyed characters like lords, kings, or captive princesses; no tales of dragons and lost rings for me. I write about retired soldiers, embittered prostitutes, working magicians who need to pay their bills, or (as in "Ant Farm," my story in "All Will Burn: At All Costs" from Raconteur Press) a college freshman chemistry student and his estranged mother. The earlier tale, "Dead in First Grade" in "The Wand That Rocks the Cradle," features an everyday six-year-old girl starting school -- in a world that is decidedly NOT our own. I hope you enjoy my work!
