Heidi C. Eads Jones

Heidi Eads has an enduring interest in the West Virginia people, culture and history that began with the stories told around the kitchen table of her grandfather’s very large family. She discovered an opportunity to contribute to this body of knowledge in writing about what appeared to a neglected aspect of the Civil War experience in West Virginia, namely, that of the pro-Union part of the population during the American Civil War. She hopes to share through her books, her love for the people who lived ‘west of the Alleghenies.’
