I started my career as a toy inventor of Pound Puppies. Along the way, I had a chance to rescue a few dogs from the "pound" and love them with all my heart. One of my most special real dogs was Buster, the name of the hero dog in my book. Although I never quite heard him speak, I'm pretty sure he understood every word I said. Dogs are smart like that! Like Angie in this story, I also have ancestors who were Cherokee descendants. My hope is to honor that history, and to give a smile to the real Angie in my life who loves dogs and toys as much as I do. I hope you enjoy this story about Angie and Buster and that it reminds you to love with all your heart and always have the courage to follow your dreams, too. That's where the real magic begins!
