As I prepared to write this book, I looked up the abortion statistics available, which covered 1973–2020. The total number of abortions was 42,521,000. I contributed to that number, and I know the effect this had on me.

I know there are women out there that feel the same way I did—holding that secret, the taboo decision that was made in your life, with no one to talk about the onslaught of torment that follows. I felt there was no way I could open up to anyone about what happened. I needed someone to tell me that no matter how many times, Jesus’s blood could cover it. I desperately needed someone to tell me that God could still love me. Even with all the wreckage of my life strewn everywhere, God could use what was left of me.

My prayer is that these words will find you and give you hope, freedom, and the ability to trust and believe that God loves you right where you stand. Bruised, bloodied by life, dirty and stinky, He loves you.
