A.M. Rivers is a retired public school teacher and literacy leader. She is National Board Certified and has taught middle school, high school, and junior college. She has also served as a clinical supervisor of student teachers across the district. She is grateful for everything she’s learned from her mentors, students, children, and grandchildren. She would like to spend her remaining years in a stone hut in the wilderness, but will probably settle for ill-conceived hikes and pretending she doesn’t hear her husband of fifty years.
