Lon Welsh founded Your Castle Real Estate, the largest independent brokerage in Colorado, with over 700 Realtors and 4,800+ transactions. He co-founded First Alliance Title, a Colorado top ten title company. A former strategic consultant with Deloitte, then Arthur Andersen (Accenture) for eight years, he has been a landlord for over 20 years, peaking at over 140 residential rentals. He then sold most of the residential buildings to purchase commercial buildings.

He’s also been teaching investors for over 20 years how to thrive with real estate investing. Lon has written over a dozen books, including “The Colorado Guide to Real Estate Investing,” and has created many millionaires over that time. Yet he found that for every one person who would act to buy a rental to actively invest, nineteen would not because they just didn’t have the time.

For those 95% of the people that want quality, investment-grade real estate in their portfolio but don’t want to be an active investor, he founded Ironton Capital in 2019. Lon assembled a passionate team with diverse expertise in accounting, banking, and investing with the goal to create over 100 million of wealth for IC investors over the next decade while building up their local communities.

While investing is Lon’s passion, he has always found that true fulfillment comes from the familial bond with his team and fostering growth in the real estate community. Lon lives in Denver, Colorado, is father of 3, pursues travel, wine, golf, tennis, running, and skiing in his free time. He serves on the boards and investment committees of the Denver Zoo, the Denver/Aurora Ronald McDonald House, and Denver Boys and Girls Club.
