Barbara Rachel lives and writes in suburban Maryland, outside of Washington, D.C., with her husband, children, and a dog named Biscuit—as in the cookie, not the breakfast side.

Barbara primarily writes romance novels featuring themes of thriving after trauma, and the pursuit of a well-earned happily ever after. When she's not writing or revising, Barbara can be found working overnight at a local hospital, chasing after her children, delving into family genealogy, or snuggling with her dog — often lost in a romance novel or movie.
