Pamela Two Spirits Reader
Dr. Pamela Two Spirits Reader is an author, nurse, counselor, educator and U.S. Air Force veteran. She has many years of experience working with hospice. Her deep understanding of Native American teachings beautifully enriches her books, emphasizing the vital importance of respect and reverence for nature and others.
Her second book, Walking the Red Road: Empowering Practices for Your Spiritual Journey, was written with her native brother Larry Running Turtle Salazar (1956-2025). Larry was a respected indigenous activist and educator and is known for advocating for the protection of sacred Native American burial grounds in Corpus Christi. Their book, The Red Road, emphasizes Native American principles and other world religion concept lessons on living a respectful life in this modern world.
Kenny Kitten and the Wisdom of Grandfather Tree is Pamela’s third book and is part of the Whisker Woods series and is inspired by Walking the Red Road. Her children’s books provide a simple child’s perspective on those lessons. Even adults appreciate her writings on respect for each other and the world around us.
Pamela has explored many spiritual concepts, including studying meditation with Buddhist monks, becoming a certified hypnotherapist and Reiki practitioner. During her lifetime, she has had many dreams with a Native American spirit guide named Clap Dance that has helped her to connect with the concept of interconnectedness. These prophetic dreams even included experiencing death, which led to her profession as a hospice nurse. Her belief is that everything has spirit, and her hope is that the simple teachings of her books will awaken people to their divinity.
Pam and her husband, David live in North East Florida. They live a quiet life on the St Johns river surrounded by their animals, trees, water, and nature.
