Katelyn Baxter-Musser, LCSW, C-DBT, C-PD, CCTP is the author of The DBT Workbook for Narcissistic Abuse and Gaslighting: Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills to Stay Emotionally Centered, Overcome Self-Doubt, and Reclaim Your Self-Worth (New Harbinger Publications).
Katelyn believes that the skills of healing don't belong only in the therapy room. When people understand their own minds, emotions, and nervous systems, they gain the power to become active participants in their own recovery. This belief is at the heart of her writing, her clinical work, and her teaching: taking evidence-based tools like DBT skills out of the clinical world and placing them directly into the hands of the people who need them.
A licensed clinical social worker in practice since 2007, Katelyn specializes in trauma, narcissistic abuse, intimate partner violence, first responder mental health, PTSD, anxiety, grief, personality disorders, and relationship issues. She is DBT-certified, a Certified Personality Disorder Treatment Provider, an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and Approved Consultant, as well as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Her clinical journey has taken her from Washington, D.C., to Arizona, where she worked in community agencies, private practice, and with several Native American communities, and finally to Maine, where she now runs her private practice, Inner Awakenings Counseling & Consulting.
A sought-after national speaker, Katelyn has trained thousands of clinicians across the U.S. and internationally on trauma treatment, DBT, personality disorders, first responder mental health, dissociative disorders, mindfulness, domestic and intimate partner violence, and healing from narcissistic abuse.
She lives in Southern Maine. Follow her on Amazon for news on future releases, or connect with her on Instagram @thedbttherapist.
