Jonathan Hoffman

Hello, I am Jonathan Hoffman. I have wanted to be a writer since childhood and finally that is becoming my reality. I am starting out by writing a series of children's books about a dog named Duncan, inspired by my own four-legged friend. My dog loves to dig in the yard and help my wife in the garden. I thought I would share Duncan’s garden adventures with the world and write about the friendships he makes along the way. If you notice my attention to detail in the artwork in any of my books, it is most likely due to my high-functioning autism. This unique condition gives me the ability to see patterns and notice details that others might miss. This is also why my writing may seem different than other writers, but I’ve learned over time that being different does not mean that I am less. I hope to inspire others who are different to follow their own dreams and recognize their self worth. In my spare time, I enjoy being in libraries and museums and going for drives and walks with Duncan in the beautiful Northern Ontario countryside.
