A.P. Murdock

A native of Detroit, Michigan, A.P. Murdock realized his passion for concocting oral tales at 12, writing a vignette for a junior high school production. He went on to study fashion illustration at the prestigious Cass Technical High School, and while on scholarship at N.Y.C's Fashion Institute of Technology, continued penning short stories as a hobby. A stint as Executive Pastry Chef for Along Came Mary Events, where he created the most memorable menus for Hollywood's esteemed events, led to a life long opportunity to study film at California State University, Northridge. There he honed his skills writing film and media, and critical theory, earning a B.A. in Cinema and Television Arts. Inspired by authors James Baldwin, Ernest Hemingway and Joan Didion, A.P. wrote his first novel “Strait to Neutral Falls” based on a childhood trip. A.P. Murdock lives in Los Angeles, and enjoys reading architectural books, dining and caring for his two furry kids.
