Dr. Kevin Asher was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and migrated to the USA after finishing high school. He earned his undergraduate degree from Howard University, and attended dental school at the University of Maryland. Dr Asher went on to specialize as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, completing his residency at Howard University Hospital, in Washington, DC.
He has 5 children and 5 grandchildren.
Dr Asher's hobbies include soccer, table tennis, art, and volunteer work. He has volunteered his surgical and soccer coaching skills in the USA, Bangladesh, Ecuador, Haiti, Jamaica, and the Philippines to name a few.
Dr Asher has adopted Norman Manley High School in Kingston, Jamaica, so it should not be surprising to learn that profits from the sale of, Planting Seeds in a Concrete Jungle, will go towards supporting Norman Manley High School.
