Yogesh Ray

Dr. Yogesh Ray, presently working as Scientist E and Scientist in Charge - Antarctic Expedition Logistics & Antarctic Science Coordination at National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research, Ministry of Earth Sciences, (Govt. of India) Goa, India. Research interest lies in Clastic Sedimentology, Geomorphology, Himalayan Geology, Antarctica.

Actively involved with the Indian Antarctic programme. Participated in 33rd, 35th, 37th, 40th, and 43rd Indian Scientific expeditions to Antarctica (ISEA) and was entrusted with the responsibility of “Voyage Leader” during 37th, 40th, and 43rd ISEA.

Bestowed with the Certificate of Merit - 2022 in the field of Polar Sciences, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India. Young Researcher Award 2010, Ministry of Mines, Govt. of India. Foundation Day Best Research Paper Award 2010-2011 from Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology, Dehradun, India. Shri PV Dehadrai Memorial Gold Medal and Prof. MS Srinivasan Gold Medal from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India.
