Peter Stonefield

Peter Stonefield is an Aerospace Engineering Consultant with a passion for flying, diving, golfing, fishing and is an avid supporter of our military, our veterans and marine conservation organizations. He sits on the Board of Directors of several non-profits including one which serves children and families dealing with pediatric cancer and others which support military families.

Mr. Stonefield started his career working as an engineer on the Space Shuttle at Kennedy Space Center, Florida, before becoming a senior engineer at Trans World Airlines after the 1990 budget cuts reduced NASA's workforce. After working for TWA, he shifted his focus to the supplier side and worked for several companies as an engineer and in technical sales where he was instrumental in opening the Chinese market to US companies.

In 2007, Mr. Stonefield developed and created his own Engineering and Regulatory Consulting company for the expressed purpose of using his extensive experience to support a growing and diverse client base seeking business both in and outside of the US. As an FAA Designated Engineering Representative (FAA-DER) he is authorized by the FAA to develop and approve major repairs and alterations on a wide-range of platforms including commercial and military aircraft, and helicopters.

Mr. Stonefield has worked extensively with the US military in many capacities and as a businessman has long supported our military men and women through fund-raising and other philanthropic efforts including the sponsorship of events supporting Gold Star Families and Military Veterans. In addition to his work in the Aerospace industry, he is a tinkerer holding US Patent # 9,511,482 for a specialty tool bit for installing cup hooks using a 1/4-inch (manual or powered) driver.

Mr. Stonefield resides in Charleston, South Carolina with his wife, their sons and their dogs.
