Ramsey Mathews

Ramsey Mathews was born in rural Georgia where he worked in agriculture, construction, and played high school football. Moving to Los Angeles for film and TV, he did stand-in and stunt work for Patrick Swayze, Ron Perlman, and Bert Kreischer, with a handful of IMDB credits.

College includes a PhD in English & Creative Writing from Florida State University, an MFA in Poetry from Cal State University, Long Beach, an MA Lit degree in Modern American & British Drama from Cal State University Northridge, a BA in Advanced Composition & Rhetoric from Georgia State University, and a BS in Industrial Management from Georgia Tech.

Ramsey lives and writes in the South. He enjoys watching a movie every night, eating at Waffle House on Sunday, and shooting black and white photography. He broke his leg rock climbing at Joshua Tree National Park. Although not usually so clumsy, he once got stranded overnight without any water on Black Velvet Peak in Nevada after a twelve-hour climb.
