Oliver Jones

I have spent my career as a public servant and as a consultant providing support to the public and private sectors on issues that shape the societies we live in and which define the relationship between the public and private sectors – issues such as economic policy, infrastructure, geopolitics and sustainability. My passion is to support both the public and private sectors to drive real world outcomes on these issues.

I have been a partner at EY for nearly 15 years. Based in Sydney, Australia, from 2010 to 2018, I am now based in London, England. I currently have three senior global leadership roles at EY:

• I am the Global Markets Leader for EY’s Strategy and Transactions (SaT) service line, responsible for the development of SaT’s go-to-market approach.

• I am SaT’s Global Sustainability leader, responsible for the ongoing development of EY’s strategy and transactions services that assist clients in setting and meeting their sustainability objectives.

• I lead EY’s specialist geopolitical advisory team, the Geostrategic Business Group, which assists clients in understanding the business implications of the ongoing geopolitical disruption in the world today.

I spent the first stage of my professional career as a public servant in the UK Government. During that time, I gained extensive experience at the very highest level of Government, serving for over three years as a policy advisor in the Prime Minister’s office in 10 Downing Street, as well as Senior Civil Service posts in Her Majesty’s Treasury and in the UK Department of Transport, where I was Head of Strategy. I started my public service career in international trade roles in the (then) UK Department of Trade and Industry.
