Lucius Ember

Lucius Ember is a celebrated author known for his captivating historical fantasy series, The Orisha. Born in 1980 in New Orleans, Louisiana, Ember grew up in a culturally rich environment that deeply influenced his writing. His interest in history and mythology was sparked at an early age, nurtured by the vibrant stories passed down through generations in his family and the diverse cultural tapestry of his hometown.

In 2014, Ember began his series of books, originally named, The Tyrant King, but it was not until 2024 that he had his first 3 books in the series published. 1. Sands of Destiny – Rise of the Orisha. 2. Rise of the Orisha – The Nine-Sided Talisman. 3. The Nine-Sided Talisman – Sword and Stone.

The series explores the origins of the Orisha faith, reimagining the epic journey of a group of spiritual leaders and their followers escaping persecution in the East to find their promised land in West Africa. Through his vivid storytelling, Ember brings to life the trials, triumphs, and supernatural encounters that shape the Orisha's quest.

The Orisha Series has compelling characters, that not only entertains readers but also sparks a renewed interest in African mythology and history.
