Aalok Wadhwa

In his second year at IIM Bangalore, Aalok Wadhwa took a course in creative writing. Assigned to write a complaint letter to a restaurant manager for finding a cockroach afloat in his soup, Aalok bagged the professor’s attention for mentioning he had ‘enclosed the said roach as evidence’ with his missive.

And since then, actually before then too, Aalok has always had fun with writing. Fun that is next only to the joy that food and writing on food bring Aalok. Till, while working on this book, he discovered that the cocktail that writing about dining and sleuthing make for, excite him the most. Also that he wants to keep the highs alive by serving out tasteful thrillers featuring Foodie Detective Madhav Sathe in a smoking-hot series.

For the rest that prepared Aalok into become an author. A full-on childhood in over a dozen houses in small towns and making friends in nine different schools. A professor cum fantabulous-experimental-cook of a maa. A cop papa who loved to tell stories of crime and punishment. A graduation in Economics from St Stephen’s College and an MBA. Marketing in multinationals, CEO-ships in media and publishing houses. And 100,000 foodies as avid followers of his prolific food writing.
