"Born in Ourense, Galicia, Spain, in 1973, José Ramos Vivas is a scientific researcher in Cellular Microbiology studying the resistance of Superbugs to antibiotics. He holds a degree in Biology (University of Santiago de Compostela), a Master's degree in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine (University of Cantabria), and two doctorates in Microbiology (University of León and University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria). He is currently a professor of Medical Microbiology, and Virology, at the Universidad de Oviedo, in Asturias, Spain. Among his main hobbies are reading, soccer and photography."
