Ann S. Harris

Ann grew up near New York City, and during teen years in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, finishing her college education at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Her post-college administrative career took her into the worlds of advertising, cutting edge research and science at the National Academy of Sciences/Engineering/National Research Council in D.C.; then westward to the University of Montana in Missoula as Style Editor for the Journal of the American Academy of Religion (JAAR) through the Department of Religious Studies. Her next stop was Nashville, TN to join family and serve as monitor of grants for several departments within Vanderbilt Medical Center for twenty years. Then Tennessee State University called her to be part of a faculty/staff team that helped close a 35-plus year federal Consent Decree. While at TSU, she earned an MS degree in Counseling and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management. Post TSU, Ann used these educational achievements to assist several nonprofit/community service organizations before deciding to '"rewire," and embark on a second career of creating story.

"And now," Ann shares enthusiastically, "I relish the writing group at my senior residence where writers create stories with imagination, some of which are included in the pages of 'Rewiring Not Retiring: Connecting generations through elder wisdom, story and legacy'. Enjoy!"
