Marinela Ortiz

Marinela Ortiz is a visually impaired author with a rare form of Retinitis Pigmentosa. She has gone through many prejudices as a blind person due to how much she can do despite being blind. She has gotten her Bachelor's Degree in Humanities and her Minor in Writing & Rhetoric from the University of Central Florida and has proven that she can get a Master's by receiving it in Assistive Technology through George Mason University.

When she is not teaching people how to use assistive technology during her busy work week, she is writing her blog Nerdy Shique Universe and making videos for its corresponding YouTube Channel.

She is currently working on her Backwards Fairy Tale Series which so far has Love Found in Cinders, a modern twist on Cinderella, and Rose Thorns of Love, a modern twist on Beauty & the Beast, which are available on Amazon, Audible, Itunes, and Bookshare.
