Laura Arroyo

Laura Arroyo is a physical education teacher and an aspiring children's book author. After getting married in 2021, she and her wonderful husband moved into a charming ranch house located in the foothills of Northern California, inheriting an existing empty red barn. Laura and her husband began their journey into ranch life by filling their empty barn with goats, sheep and donkeys, inspiring Laura to write multiple children’s books based on her real life farm animals. From bottle fed baby goats, a rejected baby sheep and rescue donkeys, their life at Country Hill Ranch is nothing short of a real life farm adventure. Laura and her husband welcomed their son onto the ranch in 2023 with hopes that he will one day love their animals as much as they do.

Laura graduated from the University of the Pacific in 2009 where she was a student athlete for the Pacific Tigers Women’s Soccer Team and earned her teaching credential and masters in 2015 from Cal State East Bay. She is currently teaching physical education in Northern California. In her free time, she enjoys walks with her son, donkey hugs from Penelope and Ivy, working out, writing good night books and spending quality time with her husband exploring the foothills. Currently at the ranch, they have 8 goats, 3 sheep, 2 donkeys, 2 dogs, a cat named Brian and a koi fish pond.
