She is the author of multiple pocket-sized books on philosophy, psychology, and the social sciences, including The Stoic’s Guide to Life and The Little Book of Criminology.

Born in Baghdad and raised in Merseyside, she now lives in London. She studied at the University of Oxford and the University of Toronto.
