Susan Gibbons-Wolf

Susan Gibbons-Wolf is a freelance writer and author of the award-winning, “P.S. Boats, Around Puget Sound.” She has studied writing at the University of Washington and has been the author of numerous articles in local newspapers and national magazines. Ms. Gibbons-Wolf is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) where she has attended various classes and conferences.

Teaching Primary (Sunday School) for over 40 years has given her the perspective of what children want: vivid illustrations, engaging text, heartfelt messages, and worthy subjects.

Her new book, “The Pirates’ Code” is a fun story about pirates, a code, and contains 8 tips to prevent bullying. The tips are detailed in scenarios, scripts, and role-playing steps to teach children ways to help make them resilient to bullying efforts.

Ms. Gibbons-Wolf is the mother of three, stepmother of six, and grandmother of four. She lives with her husband on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State, where she is working on another book and quilt.
