Phil Cirone – Fast, Focused, and Built for the Claims Game
Hey, I’m Phil Cirone, and if you’ve ever thought about becoming an insurance adjuster, welcome. You’re in the right place. I’m 35 years old, happily married to the love of my life, and proud to say I’ve spent the last decade building a career in an industry most people overlook until life throws a curveball. Insurance isn’t just about paperwork and policies—it’s about being there when it matters most. And if you're ready to step into that role, I’m here to help guide the way.
I didn’t grow up thinking I’d work in insurance. Like many in this field, I stumbled into it, but once I got started, I realized how powerful and rewarding this career path could be. I’ve now been in the industry for 10 years, and during that time, I’ve worked everything from catastrophe claims to property damage investigations. I’ve handled major storms, assessed million-dollar homes, and worked with people during their most stressful moments. What kept me going? Simple: I knew I was making a difference.
Early on, I realized how complicated insurance licensing can be for someone new. I watched friends and co-workers struggle to navigate the certifications, the legal jargon, the exam prep... and I knew I could simplify it. After graduating with a degree in Finance and Economics, I started applying my analytical mindset to everything I did in the field. That education didn’t just help me succeed—it helped me understand the system at a deeper level. And now, I want to pass that edge on to you.
This book was born out of conversations—late-night calls with friends trying to pass their adjuster exam, coworkers asking for shortcuts, and new hires overwhelmed by the learning curve. I took every question I’ve been asked over the years and built a guide that’s honest, clear, and results-driven.
But here’s the thing: I’m not just a guy who knows the answers. I’m someone who’s been there—fresh out of college, learning the ropes, juggling certifications, and figuring it out one claim at a time. I know the pressure. I see the hustle. And I know how to turn uncertainty into confidence.
Whether you're just exploring the insurance field or ready to earn your license and hit the ground running, this book gives you the tools, the mindset, and the real-world perspective to make it happen. You’ll learn the essentials of becoming a certified adjuster, how to study smarter—not harder—and how to stand out once you're in the field.
Outside of insurance, I live a pretty fast-paced life. I’m big on staying sharp—physically and mentally. Whether I’m at the gym, reading up on the economy, or enjoying time with my wife, I believe in being fully present and fully prepared. That same energy is what I bring to my career, and it’s what I’ve poured into these pages.

Richard Freeman – Built for the Field, Trained for the Future
Hi, I’m Richard Freeman—husband, father of two bright little girls, senior insurance professional, and now, author. At 38 years old, I’ve spent the last 15 years in the trenches of the insurance industry, helping people recover after loss, navigating complex claims, and leading teams through some of the most intense scenarios this field has to offer. And now, I’m here to pass on what I’ve learned—so you can do the same, only faster.
This book was born out of years of experience, but even more so, out of a sense of responsibility. I’ve trained new adjusters, mentored agents, and seen firsthand how confusing, frustrating, and overwhelming this path can be when you’re starting. I wanted to create something that cuts through the noise—a real guide from someone who’s walked the walk and knows how to win in this business.
Before I was an adjuster, I was just a curious finance student with a talent for analysis and a passion for solving real-world problems. I graduated with a degree in Finance and Economics, where I quickly built a reputation for precision and speed. One of the students I mentored back in college—Phil Cirone—went on to become a standout insurance adjuster himself. Now, we’re both writing books to help the next wave of talent step up. I couldn’t be more proud.
My insurance journey wasn’t glamorous, but it was purposeful. I started small, handling everyday claims and working with clients in their most vulnerable moments. Over the years, I grew into leadership roles, tackled large-scale property damage cases, managed catastrophe response teams, and became a go-to guy for problem-solving in the most high-pressure environments. I’ve worked hurricanes, wildfires, floods, and more policies than I can count. And I’ve never once stopped learning.
But beyond the technical knowledge, here’s what matters:
I know what it takes to thrive as a certified insurance adjuster—and I know how to teach it.
This book isn’t just about passing an exam. It’s about preparing you for a career. I cover the essentials: how to get licensed, what the test looks like, what fieldwork demands, how to stay organized, and how to rise above your competition. I also give you insider tips that only someone who’s been in the game 15+ years can offer.
And I do it all with clarity, structure, and zero fluff—because when you’re building a real career, you don’t need theory. You need a strategy.
My approach is fast, focused, and field-tested. Whether you’re looking for financial freedom, job security, or the pride of helping people when they need it most, adjusting can get you there. I’m living proof. And I’m here to help you do the same.
When I’m not in the field or writing guides like this, I’m spending time with my wife and daughters—my biggest motivators. Everything I’ve built, I’ve built for them. Now, let’s make something for you.
