Working as a registered psychiatric nurse. Colleen’s career has spanned twenty-five years working in various settings and capacities.
Launched by a preceptorship at an adolescent treatment center, and lifting off to Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, Colleen has spent the last number of years as a Community Case Manager in varied programs.
Colleen has documented thousands of mental health assessments and recorded countless clinical progress notes. She has worked hand-in-glove with multiple psychiatrists and has interviewed a multitude of individuals presenting with varying degrees of mental health symptoms.
In her time away from work, Colleen practices what she preaches. She lives a holistic lifestyle that includes family, meaning and purpose, meditation, physical fitness, social engagement, and inspirational hobbies. She spends a large majority of her time with her 1,200-pound boyfriend, Rebel, her gelded Mustang, with whom she travels and attends rural horsemanship camps and clinics.
