Denise E Halgren

Hello, everyone! My name is Denise Halgren, and writing children's books is my new hobby. I have learned quickly that this hobby is expensive like every other hobby, but it is so much fun! I have a master's degree, and taught preschool/elementary school for 30 years. Unfortunately, in 2022, I had to retire before my heart was ready. After over a dozen years of severe and disabling migraines, my neurologist told me that my body could not take any more stress and pain. It was difficult to accept, but it was true. I'm pretty much a home body now.

I have been married for 32 years, and Dave and I have two daughters, a son-in-law, and three gorgeous grandchildren. We don't live near any of them, but we see them as often as we can.

Thank you for taking the time to read about me. My first published book is called, "THE CRAZY CAT LADY" and my older daughter calls it "almost an autobiography about me." Lol It is a series, so I hope you will love all of her adventures. If you have any ideas for an upcoming book, please let me know.

I am also working on other books, including one about my granddaughter, called "FOSTER CARE TO ADOPTION: KAYLA'S STORY" and one about a guest ranch in Wyoming called "KARA CREEK RANCH- A WILD WEST ALPHABET ADVENTURE."
