Daniel Waldenström is professor of economics and program director at the Research Institute of Industrial Economics in Stockholm. He has taught at Uppsala University, Paris School of Economics and University of California at Los Angeles. His research focuses on income and wealth distribution and taxation, and his publications has appeard in leading scientific journals and books at international publishing houses. He is currently fellow at the Center for Economic Policy Research, Institute for the Future of Labor, Center for Economic Studies, the World Inequality Lab, the Stone Center, and has been visiting scholar at the Becker Friedman Institute, University of Chicago. Waldenström serves as member of the Swedish Minister of Finance’s Council of Economic Advisors since 2020, including a special appointment as advisor for Corona Crisis Policies. He also has long-standing experience as advisor to government agencies, and to the OECD and the European Commission. He is a frequent commentator in European and Global media on policy and distribution.
