Heather Stiles has always enjoyed swimming, fishing, boating, and hanging out with friends and family at the lake or around the pool. Once she became a mom, she knew she wanted to equip her young children with the life saving skills needed to be their own last line of defense in the event all other drowning prevention measures fail. Heather’s passion for water safety grew as she started researching options for her child’s first swim lessons. That eventually led her to take an even bigger step and become a certified Infant Swimming Resource instructor. In 2021 she started teaching ISR survival swimming lessons to the children within her community. Witnessing infants and toddlers become competent and confident in the water is the best part of her job. Heather hopes this book brings about a fun and interactive way to teach children about objects that sink and float, the importance of swim lessons and that goals can be achieved with a little bit of practice each day.
