I have been keeping and breeding tropical fish since the early 1990s, and more than 30 years later, the hobby still fascinates me as much as it did when I started.
Over the years, I have kept and bred a huge variety of freshwater fish and invertebrates, worked full time in a local fish store, and spent countless hours experimenting, learning, making mistakes and discovering what really works in the home aquarium.
Today, I am fortunate enough to have my own dedicated fish room where I continue to keep, breed and learn from the animals that have fascinated me for most of my life.
My books are written primarily for people who are new to the hobby or want straightforward, practical advice without being overwhelmed by unnecessary technical detail. Wherever possible, I try to explain not only what to do, but why it works.
Above all, I hope my books help more people enjoy this fantastic hobby and give them the confidence to create healthy, thriving aquariums of their own.
