Andrew Radd

Born in Northampton, Andrew Radd - son of the well-known actor Ronald Radd - watched his first county cricket match at Wantage Road aged nine and began reporting on Northamptonshire CCC as a journalist and radio broadcaster in 1984. His publications include the club’s official history (with Matthew Engel), the authorised biography of David Steele, a history of cricket in Oundle and an acclaimed life of Northamptonshire and England all-rounder George Thompson. He has also contributed to more than 30 editions of Wisden Cricketers' Almanack. Northamptonshire's official archivist/historian since 2016, 'Faces on a Wall' - telling the stories of the club's captains since 1878 - is his eighth book. He has been a regular voice on BBC Radio Northampton for 40 years.
