Rao Achutuni

Rao Achutuni graduated with a PhD in Meteorology from the University of Oklahoma (1978). During his thirty-year career, he worked at NOAA's National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service, USDA's Foreign Agriculture Service, and the University of Missouri.

His expertise includes the use of polar-orbiting environmental satellites to ensure global food security; monitoring of large-scale droughts and floods; assessing the agricultural impacts of global warming; and the development of NOAA's Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites.

Rao's distinguished career enabled him to work with countries in Africa, the Middle East, South & Southeast Asia, the Caribbean, and Central & South America establishing scientific and technology transfer programs.

He now devotes most of his time writing books and blogs on lunar and space exploration, UFOs, UAPs, Ancient Ancestors, and Ancient Aliens; which is evident in his latest work, Mystic Moon: A Lunar Odyssey.
