Jorge Titinger

Jorge Titinger writes about leadership—how people, teams, boards, and organizations can achieve extraordinary performance in a rapidly changing world. Drawing on more than 35 years of experience as a global CEO, board chairman, and trusted advisor, his books explore the intersection of leadership, governance, organizational culture, AI, and the future of work.

Jorge is the award-winning co-author of Differences That Make a Difference, which brings together the perspectives of more than 130 global executives to examine how inclusion and diversity drive innovation, leadership, and business performance. He is also the co-author of The Real ROI – Return on Inclusion, which explores how organizations can build cultures of trust, belonging, and high performance in an era shaped by AI, hybrid work, and rapidly changing workplace dynamics.

He is a contributing author to Cracking the Rich Code, Volume 19, where his chapter, From Black Belt to Boardroom, shares the leadership lessons that shaped his journey from competitive athletics to the CEO's office and the boardroom. His upcoming book, The Beautiful Game of Leadership: Lessons from the Soccer Field to the Boardroom, draws on a lifetime in competitive sports and executive leadership to demonstrate how the principles that build championship teams also build exceptional organizations and boards.

Beyond his writing, Jorge is the Founder and CEO of Titinger Consulting, where he advises CEOs, boards, and executive teams on strategy, leadership, AI governance, mergers and acquisitions, organizational transformation, and executive development. He currently serves as Chairman of Axcelis Technologies and as a director of several public, private, and nonprofit organizations. A recognized leader in corporate governance, he was named to the NACD Directorship 100 in both 2023 and 2024 and was recognized by Hispanic Executive as one of the Best of the Boardroom.

Earlier in his career, Jorge served as President and CEO of Silicon Graphics International (SGI) and Verigy, leading both companies through successful transformations and acquisitions. He also held senior leadership positions at Hewlett-Packard, Applied Materials, KLA, and FormFactor.

A three-time graduate of Stanford University, Jorge holds bachelor's and master's degrees in Electrical Engineering and a master's degree in Engineering Management. Before entering business, he captained both the Stanford varsity soccer team and the U.S. National Indoor Soccer Team. Whether writing, speaking, or advising boards, he remains passionate about helping leaders build organizations that create lasting value, inspire people, and thrive through change.
