Robert Willnow

Robert Willnow is a former tech executive turned author and current eccentric eidetic autodidact. Author of four books and countless short stories, including Bingo Belt Boys, Ochre Sky, and Kolnari Prologue. Robert currently serves on several boards and enjoys a quiet life with his family.

Living safely is an oxymoron, we are only dying slowly. The luxury of breaking free is not one I'll squander. Take my time, my stories, a chosen purpose to ascribe to my life. Storytelling comes from the deepest part of what makes us human. Grunts for food and landmarks. Language spawned from our abstraction of focal points to indicate a common notion at a distance. Words turned to simple songs, shanties at the dawn of man: The evolutionary cause of earworms - A little ditty to remember which snakes and mushrooms are safe. For well-chosen noises to evoke emotion, to cause vivid hallucinations of experiences thousands of miles and centuries away - This was unexpected.

Robert’s work leans into realism, mythologizing practical heroes and heroines, not ordained as saviors, but average folks who took the initiative. Tropes be damned. "My daughter needs more role models. If I start now, she will have plenty."
