Denise Bruchman

A published writer of short stories and novels, I primarily write ghost stories, murder mysteries, and horror and gothic tales, but I have been known to write about mythology, fantasy and other subjects.

My degrees in Russian & Eastern European Studies and Biology, as well as living in Mexico and the former USSR, inspire my curiosity and encourage my search around the world for interesting tales.

Growing up in a haunted house where the ghosts played tricks on me to having a father who was a police officer for nearly thirty years, just add to my insights. Whenever I travel abroad, either physically or in a book, I look for unique characters, different perspectives, and new ways to view "reality".

My motto is: "Some people hear voices in their heads and act on them, I hear the voices and take notes for future use."
